Ms. Guzman is a retirement plans consultant specializing in Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO). She has over 15 years of experience in the retirement plans industry. Receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Siena College she quickly began her journey with Transamerica Corporation completing non-discrimination testing and performing contribution calculations for several large and mid-sized corporations. She later joined Madison Pension Services, Inc. where she evolved as a Senior Pension Consultant performing all aspects of retirement plan administration for numerous Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit plans.

Prior to having her own QDRO firm she was the Director of Operations for Pension Actuaries, Inc., an actuarial consulting firm, which specialized in QDRO preparation and pension valuations. Here is where she engrossed herself in the world of QDRO’s broadening her knowledge while working alongside Mr. Robert Guarnera, known to many in the Hudson Valley and the New York tri-state area as the “QDRO GURU”.

To date she has prepared hundreds of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders, has testified as an “expert witness” in the NY State Supreme Court, authored several informational articles on dividing retirement assets in a divorce, and has been a speaker for both the Pace Women’s Justice Center as well as the Westchester Women’s Bar Association. She has obtained the designations of Retirement Plan Associate (RPA), Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), and is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA).

She continues to advance her education through industry designations and certifications and maintains close relations with Mr. Guarnera as advisor and consultant as well as other actuaries and attorneys in the industry.

When she’s not in the office she is enjoying her time with her husband and two young daughters.
